About Christmas...

We are in the final countdown to Christmas.  Almost to the single digits...We are scrambling over here to get the shopping finished and not kill each other in the mess of Christmas decorations, presents and the daily reminder I keep making to myself to buy the "teacher gifts"...I'm failing on some level.  But it is Joshua's first Christmas, and those firsts are important.  We place them in a box in our hearts and lable them with the child's name so that someday, when they ask (if they ever ask), we can tell them the little crazy memories of their first Christmas.  The things we thought were so important for them to do and see and experience.  The ornament we bought that says, "Baby's First Christmas".  What they ate.  What they wore.  Christmas pjs and bibs.  All the items that go along with making things special.  And so I am hanging out with Mary this year.  Listening to her story in my heart.  Wondering what the first Christmas was like for her, and I believe that God had some very important things to tell us as He scripted the birth of His Son.  So, grab a cup of coffee or hot coco and get comfy...My prayer is that my words will bring you peace this Christmas.  Listen to what Jesus wanted us to know about how much He loves us and how well He sees us and how He is willing to do anything...anything...to let us know we are not alone.  And as you see me on the screen, know that I wish with all my heart I could give you a big old hug and tell you that I love you dearly.  Merry Christmas Y'all.
